    President Bola Tinubu held comprehensive discussions in Paris on Friday with Mr. Vincent Bolloré of the Bolloré Group, whose media and digital portfolio includes Canal+, MultiChoice, and Universal Music Group, as part of his working vacation.

    According to presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, the Group confirmed during the meeting that it intends to increase the localisation of its operations in Nigeria, specifically within the film, entertainment, and fibre-optic infrastructure sectors.

    Onanuga noted that Mr. Bolloré and his leadership team presented several new economic growth and <a s youth.

    The President expressed his support for the Group’s move to expand its local presence in Nigeria, observing that the country’s increasing cultural influence on the world stage offers a chance to bring more investment, production, and employment opportunities into the country.

    He stated that his administration remains committed to backing investments that broaden Nigeria’s digital and creative economy, foster local talent, bolster infrastructure, and establish Nigeria as a hub for businesses catering to both the African and global markets.

    President Tinubu said the Renewed Hope Agenda focuses on creating an economy in which Nigeria’s talent, enterprise and global cultural reach translate into greater opportunities and improved livelihoods for Nigerians.
