NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang is set to make his first visit to Kazakhstan as a featured guest during the upcoming AI Month, according to the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, as
The NVIDIA executive is traveling to the country at the invitation of Zhaslan Madiyev, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This visit is a highlight of AI Month, a series of events backed by Astana Hub that brings together researchers, developers, startups, and various technology, but also by their ability to develop their own solutions and nurture world-class teams. Our goal is to make Kazakhstan a destination for AI talent from across Central Eurasia – a place where a strong idea can gain access to expertise, partnerships, and a pathway to the global market. Dialogue with industry leaders such as Jensen helps young developers understand the scale of the opportunities ahead and turn their technological ambitions into real-world products,” said Zhaslan Madiyev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
AI Month kicks off on September 23 with HackAlem AI, one of the largest artificial intelligence hackathons globally, where participants will be granted access to NVIDIA’s technological re
The schedule also features a meeting of the AI Council on October 1, which will include participation from NVIDIA Vice President Rev Lebaredian. From October 2 to 3, the program will host the AI & Digital Bridge 2026 international technology forum, alongside various other activities focused on digital innovation and artificial intelligence.
AI Month concludes on October 23 with a special session featuring NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, who will participate in a fireside chat with Zhaslan Madiyev at the alem.ai International Center for Artificial Intelligence. The two will discuss global AI development, emerging technology trends, the cultivation of new AI specialists, and the potential for Central Eurasia within the international tech landscape.
The strengthening relationship between the Kazakh tech ecosystem and the global AI sector extends beyond the scope of the AI Month agenda.
Higgsfield, an AI video and image generation platform with a valuation of $5.4 billion, serves as a prime example of how Kazakhstan’s expanding technology sector is integrating with the global AI industry. As a resident of Astana Hub, the company utilizes NVIDIA’s computing infrastructure and AI software to facilitate over six million video and image generations daily. Higgsfield maintains strong ties to the local community and collaborates with Astana Hub to bolster the region’s tech ecosystem.
“Kazakhstan has an extraordinary opportunity to become an important center for AI innovation and talent,” said Yerzat Dulat, Co-Founder and CTO of Higgsfield. “Higgsfield is an example of what becomes possible when exceptional talent from the region is connected with a strong local technology ecosystem and world-class partners like NVIDIA. We’re proud to work with both NVIDIA and Astana Hub, and we believe collaborations like these can help create a pathway for the next generation of AI companies to build products that compete on the global stage.”
As part of the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, Kazakhstan is actively building its national AI infrastructure, ranging from the training of specialists and support for tech entrepreneurship to the creation of frameworks for implementing AI solutions. AI Month is intended to serve as a primary platform for international discussions regarding the future of artificial intelligence and the role Kazakhstan plays in defining the technology agenda for Central Eurasia.
It is worth noting that U.S. chipmaker NVIDIA agreed to acquire the AI developer platform Hugging Face for approximately $12.93 billion, an announcement made by CEO Jensen Huang in early September.
